Thursday 12th January on a showery day saw 18 players turn out over the Championship course. The winner today was Gary Dingwall with 29 points over 14 holes. Gary had a bit of an up and down front half, with 2 putt birdies on 1 & 9, 3 consecutive bogies at 2,3&4 and a blob at 8 but it was his back half that stole the show with the highlight being a superb eagle at 12. Second on 27 was Alec Sim. 3rd was on 26 Geordie Macdonald edging out John Turley on the better inward half. John Chambers was 5th on 25 points and the best of the 24 pointers was head pro Andrew Skinner who scraped last ball and stopped his handicap going back up to scratch.
